Trade-qualified Carpenter and Licensed Building Practitioner with more than 25 years in Auckland’s residential building industry, this practical expertise underpins every inspection I carry out.

 

My background spans everything from heritage villa renovations, plaster, and mud brick homes to complex extensions and high-end new builds on challenging sites, giving me a well-rounded understanding of the wide range of building styles, materials, and construction techniques used throughout New Zealand - and how homes are built and perform over time.

 

I completed my (BCITO) building apprenticeship in the early 2000s and spent the following years working on a variety of Auckland projects, progressing from apprentice to foreman on significant residential builds, including work featured on Grand Designs NZ. I have also worked as a project manager on major commercial refurbishments for landmark institutions such as the Auckland War Memorial Museum and large public and private schools.

 

This depth of hands-on experience allows me to provide thorough, independent pre-purchase building reports and home inspections, offering clear and reliable advice to buyers, homeowners, and investors.
